High Prairie Outfitters offers fully guided spring snow goose hunts in both the U.S. and Canada.  Expert waterfowl and spring snow goose hunting guide Dave Ciani has spent years and years hunting, guiding and developing strategies that have made his spring snow goose hunts a first class operation and a satisfying experience for his clients.  Dave prides himself on his hard work and extensive scouting prior to the hunt.  He realizes that to be successful on a daily basis with spring snow geese, it takes a lot of dedication and hard work.  Being mobile gives Dave the advantage of moving along with the spring migration. It is not uncommon for his hunters to have two to five thousand snow geese hovering overhead from 60 yards high to as far as one can see off into the distance.  One thing Dave makes sure to tell all of his spring hunters prior to booking though, is that even though you may see 500,000 birds a day, the chances of shooting 20 birds a piece, a day is very unrealistic.  He urges his hunters to come for the enjoyment of the hunt and even though it is possible for a group to shoot 50+ birds in a day it is very weather dependent.

Dave starts up in southern Nebraska in February and moves up into South Dakota with the birds in approximately mid March before he moves his entire operation up into Saskatchewan where he enjoys hunting these birds in a more relaxed atmosphere.  Dave utilizes all of the tricks available to spring hunters including a massive spread of snow goose decoys made up of mostly full bodies and custom painted windsocks. He also uses many mechanical motion decoys and electronic callers to aid in decoying these wary spring snows.

Nebraska & South Dakota Spring Snow Goose Hunts

Dave and his professional staff start up the spring snow goose hunting season in early February as soon as the geese move into Nebraska.  Hunters can expect to see hundreds of thousands to millions of waterfowl during their spring hunt.  Dave has hunted since the spring season started over a decade ago.  A huge decoy spread of custom painted snow goose decoys along with exclusive High Prairie Outfitters decoy movement systems give Dave the edge over the other hunters in the area.  Dave prides himself on shooting DECOYING BIRDS!

As the birds move north into South Dakota, so do Dave and his staff.  Annually the birds seem to migrate through the same staging areas therefore Dave and his staff of professional guides have gained access to prime roost ponds and feeder fields in close proximity of millions of snow geese. 

Dave utilizes local motels and area restaurants that cater to his hunter's needs.

Saskatchewan Spring Snow Goose Hunts
