Estancia Los Ombues Gun RoomSAMPLE ITINERARY: Four shooting days, four nights at Los Ombues

Day 1: Buenos Aires

Arrive in the morning, where you're met at the airport and assisted with your guns and baggage.

You have the option of going straight to the lodge, a four-five hour drive, or spending a few days in Buenos Aires . The choice is yours, but we recommend at least a day in the city. Buenos Aires is one of the most interesting cities in South America and its well worth spending a few days exploring it. With wide boulevards for walking, excellent restaurants and lively nightlife that lasts until dawn, it's sometimes called the "Paris of Latin America". The music and restaurant scene is among the best anywhere, and Carlos Sanchez & Co. will gladly arrange a visit of a few days so you can get to know "B.A", as it's commonly called.

Forget your preconceptions about South America cities. B.A. is clean, well laid out for walking, and as safe as any large city in the United States. The hotels are well run, and one of the best in the world. The Alvear Palace, is a favourite with Carlos Sanchez & Co. guests. Located in an upscale neighbourhood near the city centre, some of the best ste ak houses in Argentina are around the corner in the Recoleta area.  If you prefer to go straight to Los Ombues and bypass Buenos Aires , and overland transfer from the airport takes about five hours. A charter flight can be arranged at additional cost from the International Airport to the lodge. This flight takes about an hour. (Flights within Argentina , hotels or sightseeing in BA are not included in the trip price. Carlos Sanchez & Co. can take care of these arrangements for you and will quote a price based on prevailing rates.)

Arrive Los Ombues, unpack and have lunch. In the afternoon you will go shooting with your guides. There is shooting very close to the lodge, and you won't spend a lost of time in transit.

Charter flights are available from Buenos Aires airport to Los Ombues Lodge. Flight time just 1.5 hours.  Please call for airfare rates.

Duck Hunting ArgentinaDAY 2 - 4: Los Ombues

After an early breakfast, leave the lodge around 7:30 am with your hunting assistants and drive to your duck hunting area, where the guide helps you pick out the best duck hunting locations where you are most likely take your duck limit. Perdiz hunting normally follows a little later in the morning, and dove hunting after lunch. You are usually back to the lodge around 5:00 pm.  Most hunting locations are typically within 30 minutes of the lodge.

DAY 5: Morning shoot, Airport transfer, Flights home .

Hunt in the morning and then return to Buenos Aires International Airport (EZE) after lunch. International flights typically depart EZE in the evening, so there is plenty of time to enjoy a final half day of shooting before leaving.

If you want to avoid the five hour drive, a fight may be arranged from Los Ombues private landing strip to EZE or to the domestic airport in Buenos Aires. A transfer from the domestic airport to EZE is required if you take this option.
